How Our Horseback Riding Services Started
This company is based on true grit and passion for the western life style. Shelby, owner and operator, is a native to Arizona and truly has a passion for what she does. Unknowingly she stumbled upon this industry in 2016 and immediately fell in love. Growing up her parents always told her, "do what makes you happy, money will come later." Little did she know a summer job would mean so much more. Her first guiding jobs were in Cave Creek, Arizona and in Stanley, Idaho. She traveled back and forth between seasons for about 5 years. Shelby did not grow up with horses, but was eager to learn as much as she could from the owners Mat and Rebekah Cain. Not only did she learn how start horses under saddle, pack, and guide; she learned a lot about herself and who she wanted to become and be remembered by. This is where her passion ignited. People, horses, and beautiful country are the fuel to her fire. As she states, "I'm very fortunate to have so much support starting my own outfit. I'm grateful for being able to do what I love for my main occupation. With early mornings and late nights, taking care of my horses is my top priority. It couldn't be done without them. They are family and they make this business possible. I hope to make personalized memories for a lifetime for the families and couples that ride with me through the beautiful desert scenery."
How the Trail Riding Business is Growing
We are proud to share that our business has been thriving, thanks to your unwavering support. We have recently expanded our team by hiring a full-time and part-time employee to meet the increasing demand for our private rides. Moreover, we have upgraded our ranch rig to ensure the safety of our horses during the 45-minute commute to the Granite Mountain trailhead. At our ranch, we are constantly expanding our herd of horses. Starting with just 2 and renting 6 horses from an outfit in Wyoming in 2021, we now own 15 horses in 2023. With our rapid growth we make safety a top priority, we get to know our new horses for 6 months before we ever put a guest on them. At the end of the day horses are a living and breathing creature with a mind of their own, there is always a risk involved. We are truly blessed to have such a great herd of horses we call our family.
Where Do We See Ourselves in the Future
As a trail riding company, we are committed to providing an experience for all of customers while staying true to values. Our future plans include expanding our services to different trail heads in Sonoran Preserve and continuing our summer-birding tradition to Stanley, Idaho. We are confident in our ability to showcase the beauty of God's creations through the majestic animals we work with and are excited to continue shining His light through everyone we meet.
